His core ethos combines his roots in traditional African music with diverse genres like Afrobeats, hip-hop, and jazz. His journey began at the Children's Performance Arts Workshop (CHIPAWO) where he mastered traditional instruments such as the mbira, marimba, and ngoma, eventually leading him to the national spotlight as a finalist on the Spotlite talent show in 2002. His musical ventures gained international momentum with 'The Future', a collective that earned prestigious recognition by winning the British Council’s Power in the Voice award, elevating their profile at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA).
